Manual Person counter

I am in the Netherlands and until now we had a lock-down. At this moment the rules are less stringent and people are allowed to visit shops again. There is however a limit of the amount of people that is allowed into your shop depending on the surface.

So I made a person counter for the company where I work. Actually it is a beginners project and could have been done with an Arduino an Attiny85 or a Raspberry Pico. I chose for the ESP8266 for future expansion which is explained in the story.

It started on a breadboard and finished on stripboard.

Update.

I added a website that gives the possibillity to change the maximum number
of people. And I designed a casing that is 3D printed.
