OS-less ESP8266 SDK vs RTOS-based ESP8266 SDK

Hi!
I am developing for ESP8266 with ESP8266 RTOS SDK. However, I am almost out of free memory. So, should I switch to OS-less version of SDK? Does it have smaller memory footprint?
