I compare them with my old ESP-03 and see that on the same firmware at the same place ESP-03 shows -60 dB, wemos D1 mini shows -96 dB.
All my 8 pcs D1 mini have the same issue.
3.3 V is stable. I tried to power d1 mini from 3.3V , not from USB, the same result, -96dB.

Of course, because of weak signal i have issues with connection.

Can you suggest anything? (

- Fri Feb 26, 2021 8:29 pm #90647 I realized, that there was no capacitor between antena & esp8266. It seems its a defect of manufacturing (. I soldered a small wire instead of absent capacitor and got +30 db. (but still -7 db to ESP-03, but its ok - capacitor is better then wire)

- Sat Feb 27, 2021 3:24 am #90649 might be the difference between a commercial ceramic antenna and a copy&paste pcb-antenna pattern, maybe copied to different pcb material without adaption.
