Any idea if there is SSL support? Or encryption of any kind?

In the New IoT example there are some compiler flags which indicate ssl support. But not tested or even compiled yet.

DDoes that new example even compile with the leaked vm?

Finding out about SSL support would be helpful. I know someone who would significantly help with funding an open source switched output design, but they said not without SSL support.

well, i can enable all SSL defines and build IoT app without any problems:
#define SERVER_SSL_ENABLE
#define CLIENT_SSL_ENABLE
#define UPGRADE_SSL_ENABLE

as they added cloud support and update via cloud there must be ssl, and it seems that it is there.
