- Sat Jun 11, 2016 1:45 am #48970 My question is about getting a socket like this, that has the right width / spacing so it would hold an esp-12 board correctly. My goal is to get something I can "plug in" an esp-12 into, program it, pop it out, plug in next esp, etc.

IS there a standard naming convention for the width / length / pins / pin spacing for IC / SMD sockets? If so, what would a socket with the right width, length, pins be called?

Edit: Something like this would work too, but it's not wide enough and not nearly long enough
