i have done my own PCB which controls normal DC 12V RGB LED strips - with a lot of helps from "martinayotte" Martin and AdrianM in the schematic part - and it's running flawlessly.

now i found that if i want to have a very long strip will pump by the higher Amps and also the cost of Power supply.

i found that there is RGB LED strips in the market which require no Power supply as it runs directly on 220V AC mains. you just need to hock it to controller which have a IR remote.

here is the question.

any body know what is the schematics in that controller and is that can be controlled with ESP8266?

i didn't ordered or purchased the product , but it's available also in local markets and same written output AC 220.

but where is power supply in that case i hold this device in my hand and it's weights maybe 50 grams.
means no AC-DC conversion happening here ?

Given the size of that controller and the fact, that it's probably only requires a mA to operate, it most likely uses a capacitive power supply.
These supplies are not isolated, so any part of that circuit will have lethal mains voltage!
I'd seriously advise you not to mess with it!
Also according to the label, the LED strip will operate on mains voltage as well, so it better have good insulation.

If you want to control it using an ESP, be safe and emulate the IR remote using a IR LED.

i know how to emulate the IR remote using ESP8266 , but in that case i will tide to the limited functionality if what ever pre-programmed on the controller MCU.

but what about to make an secondary board with input from and ESP8266 board (3 pins for RGB) and has input power AC , the output will be similar to same output from the IR controller.

any one have an idea about the shematic for such or similar controller
