Easy USB programming interface

Have not received parts ordered from Aliexpress so cant confirm that this works - Maybe somebody has this in their toolboxes and can confirm.
Aliexpress /Ebay and most of the big electronic retailers have USB to XBEE converter modules like this one

These should be ideal for connecting to ESP8266 modules as they already have the 5v to 3.3V level conversion sorted out and also have a 3.3 regulator on board which should be sufficient to supply the module.
