A6 GSM module...how to permanently change baud rate...

Hi. The A6 GSM module came with factory default 115200 baud. I can change it to 9600 using AT+IPR=9600. However, with power cycling, the baud rate is changed back to 115200. I can not find an AT command to permanently change to baud rate to 9600. Please advise. Thank you.

HAve you tried AT&W which worked on the SIM800L chips of mine?

Any solutions? I have the same problem with the A7 module
