Time scale for deepsleep

I have an application where I would like the Wi-Fi radio to wake up every 100msec send its SSID as softAP (the SSID transmission takes less than 2msec) and the go to deepsleep. for say 98msec. However, it takes about 500msec for the chipset to wake up (that is hardware initialization and Wi-Fi SoftAP setup). This 500 msec duration contradicts info I read somewhere that it takes 3msec for the chipset to come out of deep sleep. Is there a way to reduce this 500msec?

For example, is there a sleep mode where one can sleep the MCU completely and keep the Wi-Fi radio running?
