AI ESP32S

The ESP32S Arrived; The original order was for ESP3212 boards which were canceled and replaced with ESP32S (ESP-WROOM-32 clone) with breakout boards to make up for the extra month delay. The Breakout boards have two switches and two 2X9 headers which means you're not using the Breakout board on a breadboard. Soldering the ESP32S onto the breakout board was straight forward, 1.27 pin centers, a breeze. I soldered the inner rows of pins so I could plug them into a breadboard, the outer row of pins stick up for using Dupont jumpers to the breadboard. I searched AI for documentation on the breakout board, nothing, so before I can play I have to document the damn thing. Can't tell if it is working until I map the pins.. Thanks AI, I should be use to the half done, let the users finish the product crap from you.
After creating a spreadsheet with the 36 pins listed I discovered the USB to TTL device was wired wrong along with 3.3 volt and ground. The upside down backward thing bit me. The USB to TTL and the ESP32S are junk.
I soldered up a second ESP32S and found that they Espressif flash_download_tool version 3.4.1, 3.4.2, 3.4.4 do not work. Arduino works, Esplorer and Putty can connect.
Welcome to use ESP-32S Module !
