Running gibberish lines

have been visiting this forum consistently for the past two weeks and have gained tremendous knowledge in respect to esp8266-01

Initially I had esp8266 respond to AT commands, then suddenly all stopped. The blue light is consistently on for the most part and there is gibberish lines running in the terminal non stop. Using atmega328 (nano 3) and serial usb gives the same effect. Sometimes the mouse on my computer (virtual xp) starts moving uncontrollably as if hacked and it looks like the firmware I flashed contains hacks? Or could it be that the ESP is simple fried?

I have all 4 middle pins connected to 3.6 v- a battery. The TX reads 3.4v., while the RX is 0.3v so I connect it (RX) to 3.3v then the blue led goes away and terminal stops to respond. When RX is disconnected from 3.3v the blue led is on and there are lines and lines (running nonstop), lines of gibberish. AT commands do nothing. It seems that esp is not communicating with pc although not sure, while pc is able to send commands because I can flash firmware without a problem. On Ubuntu, the same thing. What to do?

Thanks for reading...

Try all of these baudrates:
- 9600
- 19200
- 38400
- 57600
- 78000
- 115200

If you get readable text in one of these baudrates, paste into topic.

Try to upgrade AT firmware with version from attachment (change txt to bin and flash from 0x0000 address).
After flashing If you still got Fatal Exception there will be a hardware issue - I got this problem in one of my ESP07 modules.

I fixed my module by resoldering elements on PCB.
