Hi,
I'm using esp-1 inside a switch box and cpu getting extremely hot.
1. Is there any method to dissipate the heat?
2. Would putting it to light sleep help to cool down a bit?
3. What would happen if keep it running as it is in that temperature? (As of now it is running fine for 2+ days. Not sure for long run it will get fried.)
4. Is there anyway to measure the cpu temperature and turn it off for awhile?

You've got some fault in the wiring. Under normal conditions, it does not heat anything.

Hi Jankop,

The power is supplied via a LM1117 and VCC, RST, and CH_PD pins are connected to the 3.3 source.
Also I have connected a 10mf capacitor.
Is this wiring ok?

To make it make sense to talk about it, you would have to specify the whole circuit. Thus, I can only say there something you're wrong.
