Hi. My name is Steve. I live in London UK. I am having trouble uploading Firmware. I have tried several firmwares but all the flashers I have used flashers (i have tried 4 different programs) all come up with "Invalid Head of packet." Is there a simple solution for this? Or is there any solution??

Hmm.
I tried flashing several different versions of the NodeMCU firmware. The only one I mamanged to get to load 100% was a 0.92 version... All the rest had packet problems. Not sure why though..

Hi,i haves same problem, solving after using 3.3v from 5v (voltage regulator),and setting port speed to 9600bps flash any time without problem.Probably you use 3.3v from programer ,it's only 50ma ,not enough for esp.

Ji H4u. Yeah, I did consider that current might be a problem. I'm using this board here: http://www.widgethub.co.uk/products.php?catagory=3&product=109
Which takes the 5v from usb and regulates it at 3.3v
I guess my laptop's USB current is too low....
