NodeMCU board gets reset

Hello ESPians, I have a nodemcu board. I was testing a pushbutton interface to control an LED, and I suitably flashed a micropython code inside a Teraterm/Putty console. I see that when I am testing the code by pressing the push button, the board gets RESET. Kindly advise why the board gets reset?

You forgot to include some code and (a description of) the schematics. :idea:
