Holding the RST low.

Can't find the answer to this anywhere!
If I have a deep sleeping 8266 and pull the RST line low ... and KEEP it pulled low:
Will it wake up and stay awake?
Can I put it back to sleep programmatically?
Will it not wake up at all?
Will it wake up and go back to sleep on it's own?

Thank for any insight you can supply!

No. RESET low = cpu is halted. You need to pulse it.

Thanks both for the information, Unfortunately Rudi's tutorial (which I'm well acquainted with, does not address my question at all. that particular question may be addressed elsewhere on the net, but not easy to find.

However knowing that the low signal must be pulsed does help. So I'm inferring that holding the RST line low will NOT wake up the 8266?
