How to attach antenna ESP-08

i just bought the ESP-08 module without thinking that it does not have an antenna attachment or a pin. Does anybody know how to solder or attach an external antenna to this?

Hi Joe, just found this post after answering your off-topic question on github. Terry and I seem to agree about the pin that you should use to connect an antenna to. However, designing a 2.4GHz antenna is not as easy as just hooking up a piece of wire to it. Have a look at this thread:

Nrbt: Thanks for taking the time to follow through. And Thanks for the heads-up that it may be not as simple as connecting a wire to it. Which is probably what I would probably have dived in and tried. I have compared the two boards esp8266-08 and esp8266-07 the traces around the antenna are different and there are two additional SMD components on the ESP8266-07 besides the antenna socket and ceramic antenna. So these components are probably to adjust for impedance and capacitance as the other thread discussed. So as you commented, not as simple as connecting a wire.
Thankfully these modules are inexpensive. I ordered two, so since they are of no use now, I will eventually experiment to get antenna working when I have a chance. Will report back if I find out anything useful. Thanks again.
