I've read that if you change firmware you should erase the firmware first. I'm not sure if the NodeMCU Flasher does a full flash erase but I hope that it would do this for you so this might not be the issue.

I noticed it looks like you are powering the module with your USB adapter. While these do provide 3.3V it is usually limited current and I've found that flashing requires a more stable power source than when you are running code. If you have a 3.3V power source trying using that and see if you get better results.

Poster has problems while flashing not after flashing.
If your tools allow you to set baudrate, lower it.

external power supply does not help
I tried frien ds and various speeds and does not help
