ESP8266 Community Forum

I've connected my ESP8266 to my FTDI and the red led comes on, but sometimes, right after the connection to power the blue led blink 2 times or 1 time. When it blinks 1 time the esp doesn't work and if i try to send the AT command i don't receive nothing, but when it blinks 2 times everything works. Do you guys know why?

Sounds like you are booting into either UART mode or FLASH mode and it depends on how its wired and what connections you have when you boot . See the Wiki on this page above at top
