Different version of E-12 hardware??

Dear All,

I would like to ask your opinion about the following case:

1. I purchased 10 of e-12 from Bangood, and flashed to nodemcu fw. I use some i2c sensors, like am2320, bmp180 to collect data. I have defined gpio4 and gpio5 for clock and data, and all of 10 works fine.

2. I purchased 10 of e-12 from Ebay, and followed the same way. But I can not use gpio4 and gpio5 for i2c - does not work, the modules report failure.

if I use - in the 2nd case - the gpio12, gpio13 for i2c, it works fine..... but not with gpio4,5

Is it possible, that something different in the design, part, of simply the second package is damaged? I tried 2 of e-12 in the second case, with the same result...
Any idea how to fix it?

thank you in advance for you comments!
best regards!
Richie

Beware that on older ESP-12, the silkscreen GPIO4/GPIO5 were mistakenly inverted.
So, you should try to cross your wires if you've followed the pin labels.
