Hi!

Just got a prototype pcb where i have a esp12e fitted.
powered using a lm11117 3.3v vreg.

I pretty much copied the adafruit schematics of the huzzah in terms om pullups and so on.
Measured 3.3v on the vcc pin. It boots fine but get hot quickly (1 minute) to the point that touching the shield is somewhat unpleasant...

Not sure whats going on. Connection the lm11117 "highside" to my workbench poweragg running 5v give me a powerdraw of about 150mA..... Whats up???

wooh... setting poweragg at 5v starts powerdraw @ 150mA. It's basically a ATMega328p and a ESP12e. Holding the reset of the ESP12e drop the current down to 20-30mA... Increasing the voltage to 7-8V all of a sudden the current goes to 400-500mA and the ESP12e gets really hot.... At my workbench the signalstrength from the wifi router is down to about nothing ... What to do? thanks in advance for any advise!
