Hi all!
For last few weeks we struggle with different power adapters and ESP. It seems that above 500mA 5V power adapters esp doesn't work.
We use TS1117B voltage regulator.
So, with 450-550mA power adapters everything is ok. 1A - problem, 2A - problem, TX sends garbage. In our project we need 30 esp, so it is quite pain in the... finding old 500mA power adapters.
Please help, what to do to make esp works on 1A-2A power adapters.

Could be this is my problem too, got to test it. Since I'm using an adjustable PSU it won't be hard. Will let you know...

It's doesn't make much sense. The rating of 1 or 2 amps is just the maximum curtemt available. Your esp will draw the same current regardless of the rating of the PSU
Some other factor is in play. Have you checked the datasheet for the regulator and followed the recommendatipns for decoupling capacitors? Another thing to check is if there's any minimum load for the psu. Unlikely but not unknown.

If you're having trouble with a supply, maybe place a very large capacitor on the output incase the supply isn't fast enough for the esp8266 when it transmits and draws current? something greater than say 100uF

Are you sure your voltage isn't dropping when esp8266 transmits? have you checked using a scope?
