I have a few older ESP8266 some 12 some 12E

Wasn't there a printing error that mislabeled some pins ? If you remember what pins were they ? I am sure it is on the 12 version

Yes ! it is well known since more than a year.
GPIO4/GPIO5 are swapped in older models, the newest one are labelled properly.
