Flashing Custom Firmware on ESP8266
Posted: Sun May 10, 2015 10:16 amHi, this short video demonstrates how to setup open source hardware version of ESP8266 from Olimex on a breadboard, how to build a custom firmware from C source code and how to flash it on the microcontroller. The personal computer in this video is with Ubuntu 15.04. You can use the same procedure on other GNU/Linux distributions and even on MS Windows (with appropriate makefile).
