#59226 Hi all!

After various attempts of updating the firmware on my ESP8266 01 I still didn't manage to complete the update succesfully. The reason I want to update my ESP's is because the AT commands doesn't work.

Did anyone manage to update the ESP8266 01? If so, could you explain how you did it? Most tutorials I came across are outdated or incorrect..

Thanks in advance.

#59238 If you cannot get the AT commands to work and you cannot get it to update the firmware double check the power supply and wiring.

If the power supply and wiring are correct then connect your terminal at 74880 baud to see if the device was outputting the boot messages. If you do not see boot messages then you either have a duff power supply, or there is a fault in your wiring, or the ESP is dead.

See this for help http://www.allaboutcircuits.com/projects/update-the-firmware-in-your-esp8266-wi-fi-module/

Why the 74880 baud rate and how to connect at that baud rate? See this and the link therein http://www.esp8266.com/viewtopic.php?f=160&t=12635
