Hi.
Quick question. Are the ESPN8266 01 from banggood the same as the ESPN8266 01 from Sparkfun.
I am asking this because I cannot seem to receive data from my 8266.
After I am done programming it it says connected and gives me the IP address. I can also see it on my router in "connected devices" but no go. I feel my programming is correct because
I can get the WIFI 3 module (ESP8266 as well) working fine from Mikroelectronica. Receiving data fine and displayed on a serial terminal. With the ESP8266 01 module I can't get it to RX any data I send to it. So, I thought I would update the software on it and in doing so it burned up. Twice! I bought a 3 pack from Banggood. I have one left and I don't want to kill it.
Any ideas?
