Hello,

I am building a project which include ESP8266 wifi module, but it causing me some problems, whenever i connect CH_PD pin to 3v3 (via resistor or directly) it pull's down power supply voltage for approx 500 mV with 10 Hz frequency, osciloskope image:

This happens ONLY when CH_PD pin is connected!
Anyone have idea what could be wrong?

Hi, this is most likley the WiFi beacon transmitting once you have enabled the IC by pulling up CH_PD. Try 100uF as close to the IC Vcc and Gnd as you can get them.

Ty for replay, and sorry for slow answer but i was busy lately.

I tryed with capacitor, but i figured i should need at least 5000 uF to completely filter it out, which is kinda ridiculous especially when size is a factor.

Someone know any alternative ways?

btw, is this a common problem? How does everyone else power this thing? Power shouldn't be a problem in a product advertised for low power IoT applications.
