Hi,

I have a NodeMCU board that I'm powering through Vin (5v), in case I need to debug can I also connect via USB for serial debugging? Will I cause any damage having both the Vin from my source and the USB connected at the same time?

Based on the schematic here https://github.com/nodemcu/nodemcu-devk ... T_V1.0.PDF I would say that it would be okay to do that. The diode, on sheet 4, should prevent any current from getting back into the computer. I see no reason that you would damage anything by having both.
