Hi, I've been doing projects with NodeMCU or Wemos boards, but just purchased some "vanilla" ESP-12E boards and bought some of the white mounting boards. The white boards appear to have connections to a few resistors and the underside has a spot to put a voltage regulator (I have HT7333). My question is does anyone have instructions specific to what additional connections I need to make for a stable chip and for loading sketches?

Read through this thread.
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14310While the topic was about the ESP-07 it still has information that you would probably find useful.

THanks I think I'm closer, one thing I'm still not sure of is what capacitors (1 or 2) I should be using.

Try one and if you have no issues then okay. If you do then add more.
