ESP8266 Community Forum

Hi Guys, Just bought a esp8266 WiFi relay module. Its the green one which ist mostly distributed by yunshan.
But since mine isnt a yunshan one but a AI thinker one, and it hasnt got ans useful Software on it, i wanted to programm espeasy onto it.
But, for gods sake,im Not able to program it.
Im using a cp2102 TTL UART Programmer with 5 and 3,3v.
My board got 5 pins: tx rx gnd and 2 Bootpins.
so i connect rx to rx, tx to tx, gnd to gnd on the cp2102 and connect it to the pc.
the cp2102 is recognised as com3 device and ready.
but if i try to flash it with arduino or flashtool it says sync failed.
what should i do?

I finally got a solution, thanks anyway for needing 3 days to approve this thread.

Not sure which one 'the green one' is. Do you have a model# or picture? ESP12, ESP01,etc???

Before trying to upload a new firmware to it, were you able to communicate with it using AT commands?
