ESP8266 Community Forum

Hi all,

I now have several esp8266 esp12f modules and a nodemcu v3. But I would like to know which firmware does what?
There a lot of different firmware but which to choose best. I see non is Ald, at firmware, nodemcu firmware, esp-link firmware from jeelabs and a lot of others.
I combine my esp8266 with an arduino so I only use the esp8266 for the internet connection. What can I best use for firmware?

I started with the default AT firmware.
Now I am trying the ESP8266 Arduino core.
Next I will probably try ESPBasic.

Try a few and see which one you like best.
Seems they all do the basics.
