Can't locate latest stable firmware binary files

I'm trying to flash a D1 mini module and a generic 12E module using both 2.0 and 3.0 versions of ESP_Basic_Flasher. After 3 days of trying, the modules appear to flash for about a minute, but no LED flash after reset and no WiFi signals. I'm using Win10, and neither of these flashers work.
However, I was successful in flashing a ESP8266Basic.cpp.bin file with the NodeMCU flasher - for both modules - yay! However, I can only find a decrepit ESP8266Basic "Version 2.0 Alpha 24" version of the binary.
After hours of searching for an up-to-date .bin file, can someone point me to where the latest firmware binaries are living?
Thanks!!!
