I want to know the maximum current the ESP8266 board's GPIOs can sink and source. So that I dont end up breaking my ESP8266 board, by giving more than the specification.
Thanks in Advance,
Haresh

The Imax figure in the 0a-esp8266ex_datasheet_en.pdf is 12mA but it is not clear if this should be derated if drawn from multiple pins.

I seem to recall it is per pin, but up to a maximum total of <x>, for which I cannot remember the value for <x>. Perhaps 60mA.

Something to consider. The voltage at the pin is affected by the current. A high with heavy loading will not have as much voltage. And when sinking current the voltage will not be as low.
