Development Board 'for Mac OS FZ1505'

Hello all!
I am a newbie to the NodeMCU ESP8266. So far I did a bit of RTFM and decided that I'd like to go for it.
My idea is to use my Ubuntu 17 Linux box. I did not dig deep enough to decide on the IDE, but I will probably go for the Arduino IDE.
Today I would like to ask about a dev kit which I came across while visiting my favourite supplier.
The dev board is called 'NodeMCU ESP8266 Lua WiFi Internet Development Board - BLACK for Mac OS FZ1505'. As I have no desire to solder the dev board together I liked this idea to have the ESP and a USB2serial interface combined. I was wondering whether the dev board is for MAC only. The price was a decent one (The WIFI and CP2102 onboard) and so I tried to find out about the FZ1505 w/o any success but gaining the knowledge that this kind of board is sold by many websites. I cannot think that there is a board out there made for MAC only...
Has anyone experience with such a board? Any hints are welcome! Thank you.
