Can I combine:

The wifi module ESP8266

With camera module

To make a wifi camera? no storage of video, just transmit video over wifi.

What component am I missing? Thanks!

How do you propose to control all the pins on the camera module?

I think you may be better off considering using a raspberry pi zerow to a pi camera module. The pi has built in support for the camera interface and its gpu supports the camera very well. You can get compatible pi camera modules with the zero camera cable very cheaply.
