Hello,
My checklist for establishing connection with an ESP8266 devkit is the one below :

Branch USB cable between computer and devkit
Start ESPlorer
Set 115200 bauds and click "Connect"
Switch on then off RTS button

I wonder about this very last step. If I don't switch on then off the RTS button, nothing happens.
What is the reason about that?

RTS is normally connected through to reset line of the esp module. So you are resetting the board.
