ESP8266 Community Forum

Hey all,

I'm using osx Sierra and adafruit feather esp8266. I had them working fine a few months ago, but recently the usb port was not showing up in the arduino IDE (version 1.8.0).

I couldn't get it to work for ages until a few days when I reinstalled the usb driver https://www.silabs.com/products/develop ... cp-drivers

And it worked fine.

Just opened the arduino IDE again after a few days and it's not recognising it again

Anyone else ha similar problems...It's really frustrating and I'm hoping to get some stability so I can develop projects etc.

please consider that I am on linux (Debian stretch)
so you'll need to "translate" it accordingly to your OSX
