Flash source code with own software on ESP82 / 32?

i am currently trying to find out which libraries I could use to develop software that should be able to flash source code onto an ESP8266. In order to be more precise, the software should read prefabricated "building blocks" from a file and finally link and flash them onto the memory. I work with Java and i am relatively new to this area. Do you see any options, or do you think the whole thing is impossible? I thank you in advance for all the answers.
