Temperature Sensor - Battery Pack/Holder

Hi all,
I am looking to create a temperature sensor that would run off a battery pack, however I have struggled to find a suitable battery pack.
The setup would include a NodeMCU board, along with a DHT22 sensor connected using jumper cables.
To make this mobile, I wanted to add a battery pack like the one below, but it seems that others have reported this to be unreliable.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/diymore-Batter ... =8-1-fkmr2
The above seemed ideal, as it would provide power via USB, but the safety concerns from other users have made me reconsider.
Are there any particular battery packs that would be suitable to use that require no soldering?
Many thanks in advance.
