Are Certificates Required to start an SSL/TLS Connection?
Posted: Wed Jun 03, 2020 9:59 amI'm using the esp8266 with the NONOS SDK 1.7.3v and I'm trying to establish an SSL connection with AT commands. I'm not very familiar with using SSL on microcontrollers so I was hoping for some insight about whether I needed a certificate flashed on the esp for a valid handshake, or if it would get that information from a CA. If I need to flash it onto my esp, how do I go about updating the certificates without reflashing? Thanks!
