ESP-WROOM-02 FW update to latest AT FW fails

I tried to upgrade the FW on an ESP-WROOM-02 to the latest AT FW (ESP8266-IDF-AT_V2.1.0.0). Here are my settings in ESP8266 DOWNLOAD TOOL V3.8.5:
The whole upgrade process appears to be successful but when I try to run the FW it is unresponsive. I changed the BAUD rate to 74880 and here is the startup text (I don't know how to interpret it):
This is my first time trying using the ESP module and also trying to upgrade the FW. Any help/ hints / tips will be much appreciated!
