We are trying to communicate between an Arduino Uno and ESP8266 Wifi module; however, during uploading and connecting we keep receiving the invalid head of packet (0x00) error.

The board configuration is attached and shown (ignore the wires crossed out).

RS232 level converter from 5V to 3V3 is missing.
Untreated pins RESET, GPIO0
