Hi folks,

how can I back up the firmware of my DSTIKE clock (https://dstike.com/products/dstike-deauther-watch-v2) with the esptool or the Arduino IDE?

many greetings
Horst

You can with esptool, but I see no reason why, since Deauther is open source and readily available, so you can build it yourself.

Please be aware that we're always deliberately trying to be a vague as possible when answering questions regarding Deauther because of its nature.
Yes, it has a high educational value for developers and hobbyist, but most of the people buying the complete product have other intentions. :?

As a side note: have you seen the TTGO T-Watch 2020 (now v2 with GPS and v3 with microphone, but v1 is also awesome)?
It's a nicely made watch (it actually looks like a smart watch) containing an ESP32 (the bigger, more powerful, brother of the ESP8266), it's cheap and great for your own projects.
