ESP8266 Community Forum

- Fri May 14, 2021 8:52 am #91381 Hi, I just received an ESP8266 ESP-07 Serial WiFi module from Open-Smart. It has for pins on it, a reset switch and another slide switch.

Does anyone know this item?

Can it be programmed from the Arduino IDE?

- Sat May 15, 2021 12:44 am #91383 yes it can be programmed. you need a USB-to-TTL-Serial adapter.
it has 5 V powering and 5 V logic level conversion and a switch for io 0 to put the esp8266 in flashing mode.

Assumption is the mother of all f*ckups. At least: that's what I'm assuming.
