ESP8266 Community Forum

Hi all,
I would manage a Led Strip in my room using a simple web app.
I would try to do it using a ESP8266 board, but I noted that exist different kind of ESP8266 board...

I know that I ESP8266 is not enough to power on a 12V led strip but it is not a problem for me in this moment.

My goal is:
- wireless board (ESP8266 is fine for this reason)
- PWM pin
- 5v output probably is better in my case. I am going to control led strip using a MOSFET module.

Which ESP8266 model is the right one for me in your opinion?

If you want small size and simple use, Wemos D1 is your best option, if you want versatility with Wi-Fi + bluetooth options and many inputs / outputs, ESP32 would be another good option to keep in mind.
