ESP8266 Community Forum

On both ESP-02 and ESP-07, which use NodeMCU, GPIO pins are set to HIGH at startup, and I have problems using it with a relay, for a remote switch.
Any solution for this? I have problems with the power grid in that area, and every time the power is back on, a signal is sent to the relay by the ESP module.

Why? Pin high to relay -relay to high - No current
Pin low sinks current up to 40 mA I think . Would that work?
Otherwise maybe an inverter on pin so that out is low when pin high etc
