- Fri Oct 14, 2016 10:49 am #56517 I want to connect a 4-wire WS2801 to my ESP-01. Is this correct that i have to choose D3 and D4 to access my GPIO0 and GPIO2 pins (http://nodemcu.readthedocs.io/en/master ... ules/gpio/)?

Do i have to choose a special firmware with WS2801 module compiled? I can build a custom firmware with WS2801 on nodemcu-build.com.

and I use https://nodemcu-build.com/
to build the firmware

I am using a ws2811 now but i am afraid I use to much power on boot because my esp01 will not boot when connected to the circuit...
