Hi,
i am new in nodemcu ,can anyone help how to use nodemcu 12E in Explorer IDE. i try many

time Flasher bin file as attached, i also try other bin file from GitHub nodemcu firmware.

but every time i open Explorer i get this message Can't autodetect firmware, because proper answer not received.

I'm in the same boat. I followed the instructions from:

Pushed the prog button then reset. I am using the nodemcu/nodemcu-flasher (https://github.com/nodemcu/nodemcu-flasher).



I used putty and dove into the system before pushing the reset. Upon reset I got the following in the putty screen:



I am running the baud rate at 9600 when connecting to the device but getting the same message from ESPlorer v0.2.0-rc2.



Did you end up getting an answer or resolving your problem?

Edit: Added more details.

There are 2 buttons up top labeled DTR and RTS

put both of them on

then click DTR once more to turn it OFF

then click DTR once more to turn it back on.

If you loop your esp with code flash back and forth from intager to float this will solve the loop init.lua will not be loaded so just format and wait for it to complete after reflashing.

So if you are on integer flash to float and open esplorer and click the format button

If you are on float flash to integer and open esplorer and click the format button

I normally use frightitanic builds cause you can select only the modules you need for the esp AKA custom.
