#30116 Hi guys, I've bought the NodeMCU Devkit v1.0 from here:
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-Wire ... 36272.html

It doesn't have the NodeMcu Lua firmware pre-installed. So i've tried to use the NODEMCU FIRMWARE FLASHER to flash the firmware and the ESP FLASH DOWNLOAD TOOL V2.3 from Espressif. But unfortunatly when i push the FLASH button the blue led on the board keep blinking and i see no progress on the flasher program (it stays at 0%)...
Instead, the ESP DOWNLOAD TOOLS give me the chip sync error (check the img below). It seems that the board doesn't enter in flash mode.

what should i do? I've tried even to put the GPIO0 to GND with no result (according to the pinmap it should be the D3 pin). Someone can help me figure it out? :|

#30156 I was almost giving up, and then I came up with a solution! Connecting my FTDI adapter directly to the esp8266-12 module of the NodeMCU devkit.

Look what i did to flash the firmware! Just bypassed all the hardware on the board to talk directly with the esp8266-12 module.. For sure there is something broken avoiding the Gpio0 to go to GND when pressing the flash button!

Now everything seems to work great!

A direct wire to ground for gpio 0 seems to have no effect??
Have you found out any more about the hardware>?

nothing new, perhaps it can be an hardware issue..

My advice is to try to flash the board making the connection showed in the photo above following this scheme:
