I have tried everything I can think of to send escape sequence to terminal to clear screen.

ESC[2j

ESC = \027

Just need an example to get me started.

when sending to the uart i got the impression that sending 27 instead of a string will send that char.

I never tested it myself.

For example to clear terminal screen in putty.
=string.char(27).."[2J"

or

uart.write(0,27,"[2J")
