ESP8266 Community Forum

I'm trying to get my arduino IDE setup and getting java exceptions off of the board manager. When I setup my board manager URLs I've tried
http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/packa ... index.json
http://arduino.esp8266.com/staging/pack ... index.json
and end up getting java errors off of both. Also if I try to ping arduino.esp8266.com I can't seem to reach it which could be the cause of my problems. Is anyone else seeing something like this or am I running into a weird corporate firewall type issue?

I don't have any issue pinging this server, neither to download the json file, so it must be something with your corporate network ...

Seems like I encountered that and ended up uninstalling, running a registry cleaner,reboot, then reinstalling ....

I'm encountering this problem and I'm not behind a firewall.
